RELATIONS BETWEEN THE SAFEVI CULT AND OTTOMAN EMPIRE

A developed culturel relation is recognized between Ottoman Empire and Azerbaidjan starting XIV-th century. The spread of Azerbaidjan origined cults in Anatolia acted as a foundation in forming a strong OttomanAzerbaidjan tie. Cults have var?ous importance in the Turkish World. Although the Turkish people live in different places this made them possible to communicate. The relations between the Ottoman soc?ety and Azerbaijanian people were made into working order by means of cults emerged under var?ous names. One of the religious foundations that played an active role to provide relations was the Safevi Cult. What diffirenciates this cult from the other mysticisms was that it had political character rather than performing prayers.
