Emotional intelligence which was put forth in the 1990’s is a notion which provides individuals with the ability of understanding, describing, expressing, managing their own and others’ feelings, establishing empathy with others, creating and developing motivation. Within this framework, in this study, it is aimed to reveal the necessity and impacts of emotional intelligence in the public relations implementations by referring to public relations managers’ experiences. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were held with 10 public relations managers in Ankara and their emotional intelligence skills were analyzed.
