In this study, project-based learning approach has been given in accordance with relevant literature in terms of philosophical foundations, projects and project types, project preparation stages, the elements of project-based learning approach,the roles of teachers and students and advantages and disadvanteges. The qualitative research method document review is used in this research study. The literature review was conducted by accessing resources and data relevant to the research. Books, theses and reports related to the study are examined and the data obtained is tried to be integrated in a systematic manner. Project-based learning is a learning approach that motivate sstudents, facilitates the permanency of the learning process, places the students to the center area of the teaching-learning process and includes the real life issues and applications. Project-based learning approach aims to find solutions to the problems individually or in small groups by simulating natural conditions. Since Project-based learning developes problem skills of students, it is used in realization of objectives at application, analysis and synthesis levels. Besides of group work students conductin dependent study and they configure and design the learning process. In the process of evaluation of project-based learning approach, not only the product of the study but also the process of developing the product should be taken into account. The assessment comprises a structure in that product and process are evaluated together.
