Islamic law, which has managed to remain in force for centuries on three continents as the law of Muslims and peoples from different religions, until the adoption of the Turkish Civil Code on October 4, 1926, is a unique and independent legal system. Islamic law is an original legal system with its own methodology, which has managed to attract the attention of many researchers, including non-Muslim researchers. In this context, the history of Islamic law and basic introductory information on Islamic law are very important information, especially for students who are studying religious higher education, apart from ordinary people and researchers. As a matter of fact, a basic and permanent set of basic information about Islamic law can only be possible with a solid “Introduction to Islamic Law” course and infrastructure. In this book review, which were written by Prof. Dr. Saffet Köse, the definition, subject, purpose, method, sources, concepts, schools, problems, fields of law in general, and Islamic law in particular, perhaps most importantly, some of his important contributions to the idea of universal law, some criticisms of Islamic law, etc.. We evaluated the work titled “Introduction to Islamic Law”, which contains the main lines of the subject.
