Literature is a complementary source of information for research in history and sociology. Cases and events described in the sources of Ottoman history like tevarihnâme, or vekayiname are told in a strict manner. The same historical knowledge changes in the poet's imagination due to the nature of the poem and loses its objectivity. In this study, Mehmet Nazif, Leyla Han?m and Ayni's poems about Asakir-i Mansure will be analyzed and an evaluation of the period will be made. Devlet-i Aliye was frequently subjected to structural depressions since the 17th century. One of the most severe depressions was the janissary uprisings whose last one resulted in the abolition of janissary military system by Mahmud II. After the resurgence, a new army was established under the name of Asakir-i Hassa and Mansure, but the effects of the destruction caused by the process were severe. Like the abolishment of the guild of janissaries, the new army was praised by some poets of the period. Mehmet Nazif was probably a witness to the two processes as an officer working in the Hirka-i Saadet office of Topkap? Palace. He contributed to the legitimacy of the both changes with numerous poems in his Divan and booklet titled “the Emâre-i Zafer”
