PARENTAL OPINIONS ON ACHIEVING MATH SKILLS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD

In this research, bringing to light the views of parents about the early childhood mathematical gains has been aimed. In this sense,the importance of early childhood math educat?on, the works that has been made to improve the child mathematical skill at home, the responsibilites of parents, the education that the parents had to improve the childs' mathematical skills has been specified in this research. In this research qualitative research focus has been used. The subject group has been formed by 7 women and 3 men who work at Alt?nkoza kindergarten. The meeting has been realised with a moderator and 3 observer in a 60 minutes meeting. After the explanation of meeting aims to the parents, open ended questions have been asked to the joints and parents' active participation has been regarded. With the permisssion of the joints the meeting has been recorded. To analyize the findings content analysis method has been used. Consequently, The parents view about the early childhood gains is positive.It has also been found out that the parents feel themself responsible for their children improvement and also they have asked for more education to make their children gain some more basic skills.
