PARENTAL ATTITUDES OF TURKISH MOTHERS WHO ARE LIVING IN GERMANY

Parent attitudes are a way of communicating how your parents communicate with your child, how your child responds to your behavior in a contemporary manner, how your parents are dying, and how family members approach each other. This research, which is designed by qualitative research method, aims to examine the parental attitudes of the mothers living in Germany. The study group was composed of 12 Turkish mothers who are living in Germany. In-depth interviews have been conducted with each of them through the themes of warmth, aggression, neglect, undifferentiated rejection, and control to enable the attending mothers involved in the study to demonstrate dominant parenting attitudes.involved could be revealed. As a result, it became clear that the dominant parental attitude of Turkish mothers was "democratic-tolerant attitude" ". It was also found that the attitudes of the participating mothers were influenced by the culture they lived in.
