Our prophet endeavored all his life to fulfil peace, welfare, salvation of mankind, to collapse all the systems which depend on oppression and exploitation and incite hatred and enmity among people and to establish a global order which aims the happiness of the mankind in all avenues of life. He, both during the Mecca and Madinah periods strived against the opposite side in order to announce Islam, unwillingly though. There are also wars in this struggle. However, it is hard to state that these wars occupy an important place in the twenty-three-year announcement period.the fact that one hundred thirty eight Muslims became martyr and two hundred sixteen people died at the opposite side in the wars taking place during the Prophet’s period who managed a state which reached nearly 2 million square kilometers shows that his aim in the wars was never to destroy the opposite side. In this respect, material and moral losses happening as a result of modern wars can never be compared with the Prophet’s period.
