OPINION OF TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE TEACHERS ABOUT INTERACTIVE BOARD AND TABLET COMPUTER USING IN EDUCATION (RZE SAMPLE)

Theresearch on theevaluation of the FATIH project pilot implementationaimed at investigatingtheopinions of Turkishlanguageandl?teratureteachersabouttheuse of interactiveboardsand tablet computers in education. Theresearchwascarriedoutbyusingthecontentanalysis of thedataobtainedbymakinginterviewswithteacherswhowork in three pilot schools in Rize in theacademicyears of 2012-2013. At theend of thestudy; teachersnoted a positiveopinion in thattheprojectledto an increase in activitesbased on visualquality, providedinstantaccesstotheinformation, the tablet computerswereableto be carriedeasilyandtheyofferedtheopportunitytorevisetheunits. On theotherhand, theynoted a negativeopinion in thattherewas a decline in theacademicperformances of thestudentsaftertheproject, theelectronicdevicesemittedradiationandwereharmfultoeyehealth as well as they had negativeeffects on studentteachercommunicationandwereregardedmoreliketoolsforentertaintmentratherthanteaching/learningmaterialsbythestu dents.
