Ta?eli Plateau; it is a geographical area surrounded by Akseki (Antalya) in the west, Mut-Silifke (Mersin) in the east and the Toros north in the east-west direction and the south in the Mediterranean. In the plateau, which has a stony geographical structure, the widespread vegetation is shrub and scrub. The region, in the historical process, Assyrian, Persian, Roman, Sassanid, Byzantine; XI and XII. it has been under the domination of Turks. The Ta?eli Plateau has attracted the attention of the Turkish tribes, who continue their livelihood with ovine livestock due to their geographical and climatic features, and some of them have received this region as their homeland. While these Turkish tribes preserved the traditional belief systems they brought from Central Asia on the one hand, they also adopted the cultural values in this new place they encountered and on the other hand they had a very rich cultural accumulation. In this study, the people who live in the Ta?eli Plateau are emphasized on the koçmar, sinkurt, and the s?rt?nk?l?ç, which they attribute to mythical features within their cultural values. The data in the study were obtained through interview method and document review. The data obtained were analyzed by culture analysis method. In this way, it was tried to draw attention to the importance of animals that continue to maintain their mythical characteristics despite cultural erosion.
