The lack of emotional and social relations in young people who have responsibility for developing close relationships can lead to physical and psychological problems. For this reason, university students try to deal with their loneliness in different ways. One of these important ways in our age is the virtual networks. Today, it is seen that young people who cannot establish sufficient social relations in the real world try to reduce the effects of feelings of loneliness by communicating in virtual world. A total of 361 university students (229 male and 132 female) with a mean age of 23.25 ± 1.48, and an average of 23.25 ± 1.48 years of age were enrolled in the study. “Personal Information Form”, “Mazman Facebook Use Scale” and “UCLA Loneliness Scale Form” were used as data collection tools. The statistical analyzes conducted within the scope of the research were carried out through SPSS 20 statistical package progra;. independent t test, MANOVA and Pearson Correlation test were applied. There is a statistically significant and low level of significant relationship between the loneliness scale and the sub-dimensions of the Facebook use scale.
