The early childhood stage is a very critical stage in terms of forming a person’s life, and it has a big impact on formulating a healthy improvement of one’s personality. Children can spend this period with their peers in preschool education institutions. The features of a child’s environment plays as a big factor in his physical and psychological improvement. Children learn by discovering and make their discoveries through play, unlike adults. In this sense, the playrooms of the kindergartens are important. This work aims to emphasize the importance of physical conditions of playrooms in kindergartens in terms of material type, color and texture. In the study, the material used in the playrooms of two officials and five private kindergartens in Konya, which has a large young population, were analyzed using descriptive scanning method. First of all, some examples from around the world were examined and the use of natural materials in kindergarten's playrooms in terms preference have been noted because of its positive physiological and psychological effects. Subsequently, the floor coverings, walls, ceilings and material preferences of these components were determined and evaluated. This study aims to influence the professional architectures remarks in this field and invent awareness to the outcome products.
