The history of Siverek a town of Sanliurfa, dates back to ancient times and has been able to carry the traces of the past to the present day. Siverek houses, which are one of the most important tools that carry these traces, have witnessed this history with their construction technique, spatial construction and material. The traditional houses formed by the influence of the topography, climate and cultural structure of the geography they are located in, due to social change over time the traditional texture and the structures that constituted it lose their identity. Traditional Siverek houses survived until today have carried important historical, cultural heritage and experiences. Qualified ones of these structures are also used under the protection of a number of functions for a variety of purposes. However, this is only a solution for the physical survival of some qualified houses and is not a solution for maintaining the architectural tradition it represents. The new trends in the concept of housing production and the changes in the requirements of the user and the society in addition to it seem not to allow any other form. However, the design criteria and thousands years of experience of traditional houses based on the social, cultural and geographic needs of the region and the encouragement of the relevant people can be a solution to the dead-end between the current and current housing and the environmental damage, especially the environmental pollution. Traditional Siverek houses, which could not keep up with the times due to changing society and architectural understanding, started to be abandoned over time. However, the new up-to-date dwellings meet many new requirements but fail to meet many traditional requirements. The aim of this study is to examine the changing spatial uses in the social and spatial context with changing living conditions, and to ensure the transfer of important spatial uses that can be taken from the past by keeping the social values alive. In this study, it is questioned how the social, geographical and social characteristics of the traditional and contemporary Siverek houses and the spatial formations of the social structure can be used to meet the needs and demands of the users.
