In addition to descriptive statistics, the parametric t-test and dependent sample t-tests were used to measure the effect of sports on depression. According to the analysis results, it was found that the pre-test mean scores of the participants in the experimental group were higher than the post-test mean scores. No significant difference was found in the pre-test average scores of the participants in the control group, on the other hand, in the post-test average scores. These results represent that sports activities positively reduce the depression levels of the participants.
