INVESTIGATION OF SPORT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS COMMUNICATION SKILLS ACCORDING TO SEVERAL VARIABLES

The purpose of this study is to reveal the factors that are efficient upon Sport High School students’ communication skills. In accordance with this purpose, Communication Skills Scalewas developed by Korkut and Bugay (2014) and personal information form wasdeveloped by researchers who were performed to 142 students (65 female and 77 male) studying at Professor Faik Somer Sport High Schools in Istanbul. To examine the normality of the data, "kurtosis" and "skewness" values were analyzed and were regarded as not normally distributed data. Later, gender sport branch, the number of siblings and social media accounts, depending on the use of α=0.05 level of significance t-test, Mann-Whitney, and in accordance with the class and time evaluation form Kruskal-Wallis test was applied. The findings of the research show that sports communication skills of high school students gender, sport branch, number of siblings, social media accounts, class and time for the evaluation variables were not cause statistically significant relationship.
