INSTRUCTIONAL SUPERVISION PRACTICES IN SCHOOLS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS

This study was carried out to determine the instructional supervision practices in schools and to determine the reasons of disruptive aspects according to the views of the manager. In this research, which was carried out using a mixed research method, the “Teaching Supervision Behaviors Scale of the School Principal Scale (ÖMÖDD)”, which was developed by ?lgan (2014), was applied to 198 teachers for the qualitative dimension of the research. In the qualitative dimension of the research, interviews were made with 25 school principals. The arithmetic mean of the items in the scale used in the quantitative dimension of the research has been found, and a qualitative interview form has been prepared based on the items that have a low average. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained in a qualitative dimension, two main themes, namely “developing teaching and teacher” and “classroom visits and presenting feedback”, and 7 different sub-themes were created under these main themes
