In this research it is intended to examine the marital harmony of parents whose children receive special education according to their obstacle group. The research is consisted of parents who are selected with oriented sample method and whose children receive special education in 3 rehab centers in Sultangazi and Bakirkoy, Istanbul. Our study has been carried out with 188 female, 55 male, total 243 participants. During the phase of data collection, “Demographic ?nformation Form” and “Marital Adjustment Scale “have been applied to the sample group. T-test and one way ANOVA have been used together with Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression analysis in order to examine the relation between the demographic variables and the scales. As a result of collected evidence it is concluded that demographic variables such as educational status, level of income, family support, number of children, marriage span and type of family determine the marital harmony. The collected evidence showed that socio-demographic attributes are correlated with marital harmony. It is determined that participants who receive support about their child’s care have more harmony in their marriage.
