Information design is the basic field of graphic design and emphasizes how information can be better transferred to the user. Especially graphic language is preferred in big cities for being universal. The language that anyone can reach and understand, from illiterate masses to tourists who do not know the local language of that city, is the language that visual communication and graphic design will suggest. In this context, considering the fast paced city life, the rapid transfer of this information becomes important. Simple but well-designed orientations, signs that can be understood by everyone, guidance systems that can be linked and followed, consistent composition, color and typography are among the elements to be designed. The study area of our research, is the leader of Turkey's sights, Istanbul Beyazit square, is also adjacent to the Grand Bazaar. Although tourism studies are accepted as a cultural and social activity, it is known that the main purpose in this meaning is an economic gain. Because it is known to become an important fact that day by day Turkey's economy revenues by its tourism. Based on this information; In this sector, which has a strategic potential, it is a necessity to design information and direction signs of touristic places according to the purpose for tourists who could not speak the language. As it is known, bazaars and shopping centers are among the places where domestic and foreign tourists visit during a tourism activity. In this study, the bazaar in which most tourists go, Grand Bazaar, is selected and direction and information signs are examined according to its historical cultural heritage. National and international sources were searched to complete the theoretical dimension of our research. In this research, which was carried out with the screening method, the evaluation of the problems of the information designs determined was made. In addition, in terms of graphic design of information designs in itself, design, language, color, font, etc point of views discussed. As a result, the lack of integrity of the information works in the Grand Bazaar based on the research sample leads to visual pollution as well as confusion in visual perception. On the other hand, it is also concluded that these designs directly affect the urban identity.
