Translations of the Holy Qur’ân continued to be held each period. This activity has increased, particularly from the Republican era, today readers met with about two hundred Qur'an translations. Some of these translations, managed to convey the divine message of the Qur'ân as close to the truth, another part of the translations in the positive or negative influence of the environment in the current historical and political point of transfer to the addressee of this divine message was uninspiring. Here in this study, some reformist ideas and views have been criticized, the controversial figure in the Republican era, Ismay?l Hakk? Baltac?oglu (1886-1978) and the shadow of Turkish Qur'an discussions completed in 1957 "Qur'ân Translation’s" had been discussed in a critical way. In this context, in this study Baltac?oglu’s life, studies, opinions, meaning the purposes of writing Qur’ân translation’s, translation of the Qur'ân taken up the debate on; the other hand his much-discussed Qur'an translation’s language, style and content aspects of the evaluation has been tried with a critical eye.
