The majority of ancient wars is siege. From establish of the first city-states defense has been the most important fortifications. In the historical process, people who in the walls have developed new methods to defend themselves. Attackers invented siege machines more effectively is to overcome the fortifications. The first examples of the civilizations of Mesopotamia which began to be quite advanced in development of war technologies reached the age of the Roman and Sassanid Empires. In this study, the city of Amida in 359, the Persians and the Romans are used in defending the city that surrounds it, and be given information about tools to attack the defense.
