ILGAZ MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK AND WINTER SPORTS TOURISM CENTER OF EVALUATION BY SUSTAINABILITY CRITERIA

It is known that tourism has accelerated the World economy especially after 1950s. In many different types of destinations, tourism activities based on different resource values are carried out. However, it is inevitable that the tourism paradigm, which is faced with threats such as climate change, technology, environmental problems, economic dependence, especially social and cultural degeneration. Sustainable tourism criteria developed by the paradigm shift reveal the sustainability of tourism in a destination based on the principle of protecting the value of tourism resources. This research aims to evaluate winter sports tourism in Ilgaz Mountain National Park based on sustainable tourism criteria. Sustainability of tourism in the region has been evaluated by using qualitative research method and using secondary data. As a result, it has been determined that tourism, social welfare, protection of the natural and cultural environment, product quality, tourist satisfaction, national park management and supervision processes can be maintained.
