I. AND II. TERM GÜMÜŞHANE MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT IN TURKISH GRAND ASSEMBLY AND THEIR PERFORMANCES

The I. term Turkish Grand Assembly was established to protect the independence of the country and her people on 23rd April 1920 and between the years 1920-1923, they carried out their mission and completed the national struggle with a great success and led to establish a new Turkish country. Each sanjac sent 5 member of Parliament to the I. term of Turkish Grand Assembly. These member of Parliament started to work with great authorities such as education and idea freedom but the main aim of this Assembly was to struggle for the independence of the country. The II. term carried on its mission between the years 1923-1927 to reach the country to the civilization of the western countries with the political,social, economical and cultural revolutions made by the I term of Turkish Grand Assembly. In this period Gümü?hane was represented by four Member of Parliament in this term. The I. and II. term Gümü?hane Members of Parliament dealt with the common problems of the country besides the problems of the people living in Gümü?hane and its environment. Hasan Fehmi (Ataç) appealed attention as he was the Minister of Treasure in the first term and he became the Minister of Agriculture in the second term.
