Water is a source that has vital importance for human as for all living creatures. It has been also used for economic activity beside main lifeblood. Due to increasing population the usage of water which is a limited resource, becomes an important problem. Today as a result of global climate change, the demand of fresh water resources increases. Disagreement on water sharing between countries that have international waters increasingly continues. In this context many treaties have been signed and many new treaties are needed. In this study, Hydropolitic potential and situation of Hatay in context of international waters, is investigated. The rivers in Hatay which have international statute, their properties, international usage of these rivers, politics of partner countries (Turkey, Syria,Lebanon), and resultant problems are handled. In the study as main data Topography and Hydrography sheets with scale of 1/25000 have been obtained from HaritaGenelKomutanl???’ndan (HGK) and used. In addition several data has been achieved from related institution and persons by interview during field studies. Obtained data has been evaluated and results have been got by using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As result, in context of Hydropolitic of Hatay there are 3 main rivers named, Orontes, Afrin, Karasu and 6 streams mentioned as international waters. The usage of these rivers caused disagreements between Turkey and Syria. The main problem depends on selfish and wrong politics of Syria.
