HOLISTIC TEXTS AND THE VISUALS IN THE GOKKUSAGI TURKISH TEACHING SET

The books that will be prepared to teach Turkish to foreigners should be established according to the criteria of modern. One of the most important elements of the books are visuals. In achieving of fully purpose language teaching process in the used books visual elements have a very large share. For this reason it should be pay attention to images functional. So visual when supporting the reading texts by content and meaning but also ?t must be motivating the students.

In this study it is examined in the Gokkusag? Turkish Teaching Set 1 compliance with visuals, text, and these two are determined to what extend the meaning of the holistic of the area. Visuals in the book were discussed and evaluated according to the criteria of the study that mentioned. As a result of analyzing it is found the visuals in the book supported the content and meaning by large extent, the position is understood to offer positive contribution to the readability of the text. Also it is seen that hot and cold colors used almost the same rate.
