In this study, which is contradictory with each other in the form of phrases or expressions created using a combination of opposites, oxymoron is discussed. Located in contrast oxymoron, are based on a new understanding leads to one of the literary arts that concept of opposition is against to combine two opposite statements. Of first novel, story, poetry and drama, including literary genres commonly used in this art, the press and feel the impact of language in advertising. According to most researchers, this art, language carries a feature of the educated person can understand. In particular, the work done by Western scholars, is show that Oxymoron is sophisticated literary. In particular, Richard Lederer, Yeshayahu Shen and René Girard, are important in determining the direction of grammatical and semantic art of oxymoron. The views on the Turkish researchers usually carry an identifying feature. In this study, structures of oxymoron, are discussed in the context of poetry. In this study, have a long history of oxymoron in terms of structure of Turkish poetry. Oxymoron began to been in the art of prose Old Turkish Period, from Middle Turkish period shows the effect of poetry.
