The purpose of this study is to compare foreign language teaching at primary school level in Finland and Turkey. Finland education system is taken into consideration in this study, because, it is considered one of the best education systems all over the world. The result of the study indicate that both countries exhibit similarities in terms of early age for learning a foreign language and objectives in accordance with Common European Framework References for Languages. However, learner-centered and flexible curriculum, the role of teachers in social and academic life can be stated as the main differences.
