FORCED MIGRATION EXPERIENCE OF THE YAZIDIS: BATMAN UGURCA VILLAGE CASE

The communities created alienations due to ethnic, religious, cultural reasons throughout the history. It will not be wrong to show the Yazidis among the groups called 'The Scapegoat' which have been alienated in various periods due to various reasons. Thousands of Yazidis have been killed by the ISIL attacks against Yazidis and thousands more have been forced to migrate, especially since 2014. Other topics that the study focuses on include the changes that have happened in social and cultural structures of Yazidis interviewed in the post-migration period and the changes occurred in views towards Yazidi women by the society, in which they live, before and after immigration. In this direction, an in-depth interview was conducted with 13 Yazidi refugees forced to migrate to Batman U?urca Village and focus group interview was conducted with 7 Yazidi refugees. The findings have been analyzed by using categorical content analysis technique
