Esmau’l-husna or esma-i husna; it is a concept used in the meaning of the most beautiful names of Allah. The source of esmau’l-husna is hadith. The concept of esmau’l-husna has become a literary genre, usually with texts composed around ninety-nine names of Allah. The tradition that started with Arabic literature continued with examples in Persian literature. In Turkish literature, the names of Allah have been tried to be annotated with dozens of sample works. Our poets and writers sometimes wrote new annotations. Sometimes they commented on esmaü’l-hüsnâ texts written in Arabic or Persian before them.. In this way they contributed to the development of the species. One of the writers who wrote esmâü'l-hüsnâ commentary in our classical literature is Fahreddin Rûmî, one of the leading scholars of Y?ld?r?m Bâyezid period.
