Social work education emphasizes the integration of knowledge, values, and practice skills to develop competent practitioners. An essential aspect of this learning process involves research literacy and the ability to critically analyze social issues, policies, and interventions. Personalized research consultations play a significant role in enhancing students’ ability to understand and apply research in their academic and professional pursuits. This paper explores how social work students’ feelings, thoughts, and actions are influenced by individualized research consultations. Through an analysis of existing literature, student experiences, and the role of academic support services, this study highlights the benefits and challenges of personalized research consultations. Findings suggest that such consultations contribute to increased research confidence, reduced anxiety, and improved critical thinking skills, ultimately strengthening students' ability to engage in evidence-based practice. The paper also discusses implications for educational institutions in promoting research consultation services tailored to the unique needs of social work students.
