Abstract

Author(s): Hüseyin PAMUKÇU, Tuğçe Hesna AFŞAR

Adventure tourism is an alternative type of tourism for tourists to do outdoor activities. It has recently been a popular tourism service due to people who are overwhelmed with their job responsibilities. The most precious treasure we can offer to those who strive to catch fast-flowing time with fun activities is to create an environment that will appeal to people’s soul and rest them. In this study, it is aimed to examine adventure parks and various sports branches that can take part in adventure tourism. In this context, examples in the domestic and foreign literature on the topic of adventure park were examined. When adventure parks in the world are examined, it is seen that Turkey has not had a certain standard and not been able to have enough share from that market yet. With proper planning, adventure parks in Turkey could be improved and some contributions could be made to regional tourism attraction.
