EXAMINING THE PARTICIPATION OF VOLUNTEERS IN SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS: A STUDY ON PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS SCHOOLS STUDENTS

The purpose of the research School of Physical Education and Sport is to examine the terms of the voluntary participation of students in sports organizations. Research to obtain data about the reading level; developed by Palas and Boz (2007), “Voluntary Participation Scale” named scale is applied on 58 female to 158 male to 216 students. Evaluation of the data obtained in the program of SPSS frequencies, independent groups t-test and one-way analysis of variance (Anova), differences arising from the group to find out which part of the Tukey test were applied. As a result, it was found that female students than male students more involved in voluntary sports organizations. Also involved as a volunteer before any sports organization in terms of students were found to be more willing to volunteer.
