EXAMINATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIFE SATISFACTION AND MARRIAGE HARMONY AMONG MARRIED COUPLES WITH CHILDREN (ISPARTA PROVINCE SAMPLE)

In this study, it was examined whether the marriage adaptation levels and life satisfactions among married individuals differed according to various variables. In this context, the aim was to examine how much marriage harmonization and life satisfaction am ong individuals with children were influence with the participation of a new individual in the family. Therefore, marriage harmony was investigated by various variables. For this purpose, in the study, the relationships between married individuals’ marriage harmony-life satisfaction and demographic variables such as gender, age of marriage, education level, work status and year of marriage were discussed. This is a descriptive study aimed at determining and comparing relationships. Study group of this research constituted of 140 married individuals with children living in the Isparta province in 2018 who were chosen on a voluntary basis. In obtaining the data, the Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher, Marriage Harmonization Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale were used.Statistically significant difference was found between participants’ life satisfaction-marital harmony and their state of having children, total years in marriage, educational level, working status and year of their marriage.
