EXAMINATION OF PSYCHO-SOCIAL FACTORS THAT EFFETCS RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOL OF CHILDREN WHO BENEFIT FROM SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SUPPORT SERVICE

This study has been realized to examine psycho-social factors that effects relationships of children who benefit from social and economic support of Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services in the case of Kahramanmaras Hatice Tanr?verdi Social Work Center. This study has been structured with quantitive research method. The study has been holisticaly improved within the framework ecological system approach which takes place tje child living in their social ve physical environment. The study’ population consist of 279 secondary ve high school students that benefit from social and economic support of Kahramanmaras Hatice Tanr?verdi Social Work Center. The Study’s sample has chosen with purposeful sample survey method. Data were collected by using the interview forms and analyzed by SPSS 20.0 program. Pearson Chi Square test has been used in order to determine relationship among variables. As a result of the research, it has established that the children generally live in single-parent families and their families the montly income of their families is under 1000 TL. Prominent activities that children doing with parents are visiting relatives, going to the park and shopping, watching television. Nevertheless, it has been established that there is a statistically significant relationship between school achievement and socio-demografic characteristics of children, characteristics of neigborhood and home, social life characteristics of children, sleeping and eating patterns of children. As a part of suggestions of this research, micro, mezzo and macro level suggestions have been submitted within the framework of ecological system aprroach.
