Social capital, which is a concept that is used primarily in areas such as sociology, politics, economics and education, is also used in studies in the field of health. In this text, the relationship between social capital and health was mentioned. Social capital refers to the types of relationships that occur in the plane of mutual interaction between people. Social capital is considered to be one of the social determinants of health, both at the individual and social level. In addition to explaining the contribution of the social capital to the protection and development of health, the contributions to health status were also tried to be explained. For this purpose, different definitions of social capital are given and health relatedness is evaluated under the headings of health behavior, prevention of quality of life and diseases, or protection against them.
