EVALUATION OF WASTE WATER CONCERNED BY OLIVES IN ÇANAKKALE

As a consequence of the increase in olive farming activities and the widespread use of olive oil, olive cultivation activities in Çanakkale province have increased. An average of 94788 tons of olive oil is processed in olive oil factories in Çanakkale in a year. This activity contributes to the region in many ways, economically, socially and culturally. In the process of converting olive to olive oil, some technologies are used. Karasu; It is a pollutant with dark color, high odor, high organic matter and high pollutant. On the other hand, Çanakkale has encountered olive blackberry problem with the spread of olive farming activities in recent years. During the process of conversion of olive to olive oil, and as a result, there is 63982 tons / year of black sea which has great risk for human health and environment. As a result of this process, there is a waste problem which causes environmental pollution. The wasted land has the potential to affect the terrain and marine ecosystem in a negative way around Çanakkale. Having a high pollutant concentration, the effect on the environment should be minimized and treatment methods should be developed which are not yet fully implemented
