EVALUATION OF TOURISM POTENTIAL BASED ON NATURAL RESOURCES OF ORDU PROVINCE

The alternative tourism, which is bored of mass tourism, and tourists and visitors fleeing from the pressures of cities and busy business life, is a tourism type that is increasingly trending depending on the sustainable tourism flow. The types of tourism based on natural resources constitute an important part of alternative tourism. The subject of this study is tourism based on natural resources in the province of Ordu. The aim of this study is to uncover the natural richness of the province and determine the tourism potential based on natural resources. The study is important because it will help transform natural assets into touristic products. In order to obtain data, studies and observations have been made in the research area and interviews of local people, tourism operators and decision makers have been taken. The data obtained were subjected to SWOT analysis. Some suggestions have been developed in light of the assessments. It has been concluded that the natural supply resources of the province should be moved on the platforms where local people, communities and governments are stakeholders in the assessment, protection, promotion and management of regional cooperation.
