EVALUATION OF THE PERCEPTION ON MASCULINE ROLES AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIANCES: THE SAMPLE OF BİTLİS EREN UNIVERSITY

This study aims to determine whether male role norms of university students show significant differences with respect to varibles of sex, class level, income state and marital status. The research group consisted of 200 (98 female 102 male) university students who study different major fields in 1st and 4th class in Bitlis Eren University. Male Role Norms Scale (MRNS) developed by Thompson ve Pleck (1986) and adapted as Erkek Roller Ölçe?i (ERÖ) by Lease, Çiftçi, Demir & Boyraz (2009) and Personal Information Sheet were used as data collection tool. To analyze the data, independent samples t-test, and one-way analysis of variance were used. The results indicated that there is no significant difference for the male role norms of university students show significant differences with in terms to varibles of sex, class level, income state and marital status.
