ELECTION IMAGES ON SOCIAL MEDIA DURING THE 2013 VENEZUELAN ELECTION “CREATION OF CHAVIST MADURO IMAGE”

Nowadays social media based campaigns which are the extension of the political sphere of new media technologies are rapidly increasing applications. Due to digitize the public domain , voting behavior of citizens has been observed to adjust the properties in accordance with the digital society. Attitudes like flexibility , mobility , freedom of expression , unpredictability , mobility, related to social media using has been causing the serious change on citizen participation in the political process. Especially in the use of social media Venezuelan elections, has been a major influence on young people. This election has become an important fenomen closely followed by the entire world due to the country's continental political, economic cultural infrastructure. This study has traced the Venezuelan political culture , which focuses on digital media in the election campaign has focused on the criteria and adopted a profile of the campaign. For this purpose eleven determined election posters used in social media was analysed.
