University years serve as a bridge during the transition from adolescence to young adulthood. Individuals continue their lives in this process with many gains in personal, social and professional sense. There are a number of factors that are effective in achieving these achievements. Individuals' development of a positive sense of self and self-trust feelings support them in this difficult process they are experiencing. Individuals' self-esteem, self-esteem and valorisation, appreciation, and acceptance of demonstrated love are influential in the formation of self-unity. If individuals can integrate the sense of identity they have gained during childhood with the sense of social identity they have acquired in university life, a sense of trust will emerge. Also, the individual's ability to adapt can be strengthened and cope with problems more easily. The ability of individuals to adapt and cope effectively with the problems they face also brings positive mental health. Because mental health is defined as a state of full physical, mental and social well-being of the individuals. Taking all these facts into consideration, it is thought that drawing attention to the formation of self-development and sufficient self-esteem in university students is thought to be effective in the development of individuals both in personal sense and in the protection of their mental health. In this review; the aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between ego development and sense of trust in university students
