The concept of color is important in human environmental interaction and in the aspect of visual perception and meaning.. Color perception between light, eye and brain affects human senses and behaviors. In this context, red is one of the most remarkable, most functional, most frequently used colors. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to examine both the perceptual effect, its place and meaning in Turkish culture, and the red color which is considered in terms of communicative function in the field of graphic design. In this way, it is desired that the use of red light be done with conscious coding process, support rich visual expressions with subordinate meanings, and become an effective and correct preference in design decisions.
