EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNICATIONAL PROBLEMS OF FACULTIES

To work as a teaching staff in universities is a tiring and stressful job. In communicating with students and colleagues, serious problems could be encountered. In addition problems regarding money and family could be possible. This study dwells on education land communication problems that university teaching staff has. For this purpose on teaching staff of 270 people working in varied faculties of Ondokuz May?s University a questionnaire study has been conducted. Questions directed is demographic, academic and related to courses and relations with colleagues. At first reliability analysis of the questionnaire is done. Then, using suitable statistical method, examinations are performed with respect to academic staff’s gender, academic career and abroad education experience. In addition, questions are re-evaluated by factor analysis, which resulted in grouping of questions under two factor, education and communication.
