Mehmed Fevzi Efendi was a poet and a scholar of islamic law. He was a profilic figure who produced numberless literary and scholarly works on religious issues. His literary work is mostly focused on love for the prophet Mohammed in the form of miraciyye ( a description of the Mi’raj, the night journey and the ascension of the Prophet Mohammed to heaven), regaibiyye ( literary work describing the night of conception of Prophet Mohammed ), naat (poetry praising the Prohet Mohammed). He is the author of three pieces of work in the genre of mawlid, which are the most beautiful examples of work on love for the Mohammed.
