DİYARBAKIR’S EMÎRÎ AND DIVAN

Abstract

Seyyid Mehmed Emîrî was born in Diyarbak?r at around 1035/1625. The poet lasted more than a hundred years. Emîrî, one of the great ancestors of Ali Emîrî Efendi, descended from the line 27. Hussein, Hz. Ali and it is connected to Hz. Muhammad. The counters from Diyarbakir and its surroundings came from his generation. Emîrî did not leave Diyarbak?r for the rest of his life. Acting to him, he traveled cities and countries. The poet, having a rich fortune from his father, had shaken and assisted them. The generosity of Emîrî is at a level of language. This article; it is based on the divan of Emîrî. In the article, firstly information was given about the life of Emîrî. Then, in the National Library Turkish Manuscript Catalog, it was transcribed to divan by the archive number 06 Mil Yz FB 484. With this article, the divadin of Diyarbak?r Emîrî is brought to literature.
