DEVELOPMENT OF PROSTHESİS MEMORY IN CINEMA: AN INVESTIGATION OVER THE FILM OF “BORDER CAFE”

Memory is like a store which all living creatures have, especially the human. Cinema is one of the most important tool taking the memory today because of this reason the relationship between memory and cinema would be clarified. In this study, history ( suppressed events in the memory) of women in Iran investigated over the film named “Border Cafe” which showed in 2005 and taken place of the women-themed political films in modern Iranian cinema. Partovini who is the director of the film commented the past events in todays conditions and created a prosthetic memory by changing the passive and the other woman of the past to more modern and struggling woman.
