Urban design projects have recently been used as effective implementation tools in cities. Urban design strategies are of great importance in terms of the spatial implementation of the decisions taken for the cities in the upper scale plan studies. Determining strategies in accordance with the plan decisions enables cities to become defined, identifiable and responsive systems. In addition, urban design guidelines can be produced with the cooperation of local administrations in the cities in the recent period and the urban design strategies can be determined and implemented correctly. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to produce design strategies within the scope of coastline which is of great importance especially by the city residents on the scale of ?zmir depending on urban design strategies. For the decisions to be proposed in the study area which is smaller than the urban scale, the method followed in the development of urban design strategies was adopted. In this context, first the field boundary was determined and the current situation was determined and the analyzes were performed. Depending on the analysis, the study area is divided into 3 sub-regions and it is aimed to propose design strategies to help design applications for these sub-regions.
