DETERMINATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FOOTBALLERS’ LEVELS OF AGGRESSIVENESS AND ANGER STYLES

The purpose of this study was to determine of the relat?onsh?p between footballers’ levels of aggress?veness and anger styles of professional footballers. In this study, descriptive method was used. The sample consists of a total of 267 futbol player’s from 13 teams selected by random method participating in the PTT 1st League in the 2014-2015 football season. "Aggression Inventory" developed by ?pek ?lter Kiper’s 1984 and "Continuous Anger and Anger Expression Style Inventory" translated into Turkish by Özer in 1994, developed by Spielbergen in 1983, were used in addition to the personal information form prepared by the researcher as data collection tool. A multiple regression analysis test was applied to reveal the relationship between the persistent anger and aggression sub-dimensions. It was concluded that there is a negative relationship between trait anger points and destructive and passive aggression points from subdimensions of aggression and statically meaningful difference. On the other hand, there is a positive relationship between trait anger points and aggressiveness from subdimensions of aggression and not statically meaningful difference.
