CYBERLOAFING: AN EMPIRICAL RESEARCH ON NURSES IN A PUBLIC INSTITUTION

Although there are many more benefits the intensive use of computer and communication technologies in the health field, negative situations can ocur in terms of organization when they are used for different purposes. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal nurses’ cyberloafing behavior tendency. For this purpose, a scale was developed depending on the literature. The survey was conducted on 260 nurses at a public institution. After the datas that obtained the results of survey were transferred to computer, these datas were subjected to various analyzes with SPSS 20 software package. As a result of the study, it is concluded that the nurses' major and minor cyberloafing tendency is low.
