Turkish music culture, which dates back centuries ago, has an important place in world music culture today. When we look at the repertoire of Turkish music, an important part of the pieces are composed of instrumental music. Many virtuosos have grown in this field from past to present. Instrument performers such as Tanburi Cemil Bey, Yorgo Bacanos, Cinuçen Tanr?korur, Refik Fersan, ?erif Muhittin Targan, Re?at Aysu and ?hsan Özgen are examples. Today, many performers are trained in this field and bring new playing techniques to the instruments and increase the usability of the instruments. In addition to the fact that many instrument makers carry out new technological studies on this subject, many scientists also carry out researches in this field, making instruments, production techniques, playing techniques, usability and they contribute to this field by conducting research on these subjects. In our study, a content analysis study was conducted by examining the studies of academicians and academician candidates who contribute to this field scientifically. A content analysis was carried out by examining the master's theses and doctorate theses written about the Oud, one of the Turkish music instruments, and the subjects examined were determined. In this study, all theses have been examined in order to help the scientists who will study about Oud, and it is aimed to be a data source for new studies.
