It is irrefutable that each hadith book and author have a position imputed more or less value according to status of importance in Islamic cultural history. Analysis of report era hadith books in order to bring light to creation and development process of hadith literature, determination of these books’ inherent and historical value are important. Therefore, developing a method or utilization from different disciplines’ method is inevitable. This article handles the issue of reviewability of report era hadith books with the help of different methods like literature criticism methods and history method beside hadith method and science of hadith method. Besides, a trial is conducted in order to be ground for a method which can be followed in such an analysis study. Primarily, criticism methods derived from literary theory and their contribution to the analysis of the hadith sources, later on contribution of the history method precepts are dwelled on. In this regard, applicable methods in analyzing the report era hadith books are indicated. In such a study, at least three main subheads which are a- the period author lived in, b- author’s life and scientific personality, and c- author’s work which will be examined and which topics should be focused on in these subheads are determined.
