COMPARISON BY TURKEY AND LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE OF THE SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION (SCO) MEMBER COUNTRIES

It is not the right approach to consider the logistics sector as a mere transport sector. Logistics is the entire process from the procurement of raw materials until the goods and services produced reach the final consumer. Countries or companies have high logistic performance, customer satisfaction and so on. Logistic performance is an extremely important concept both for the company and the countries. Countries' geography, geopolitical location, transportation facilities and so on. factors affect logistic performance. Increasing logistical performance of countries will have positive effects on economic structure and continuity of economic development will be ensured. Therefore, in this study, the concepts of logistics, logistics performance and World Bank Logistics Performance Index, where the logistic performance of countries are measured, are defined. In addition, Turkey is a dialogue partner of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries to Turkey's logistics performance by comparing the similarities and differences between the countries are put forward, proposals have been made in order to improve logistics performance of countries.
